Appearance: AJ has dark, rough blue fur, some of it cold with a metallic shine to it. His eyes are bright silver since they are built within for many different types of special vision, including night vision, x-ray vision, and heat-seeking vision. His skin, or what’s basically left of it, is very pale and thin. His hands are claws with a yellow striped in the form of a rounded square on the top of his palm and his right leg is robotized from the knee down. He usually wears a dark and lime green striped shirt and blue jeans with a chain hanging on the right side to cover his robotic parts, so only his claws and the metal on his ears for enhanced hearing can prove him to be a cyborg.
Personality: AJ is your basic easy-going nice guy. Generally sarcastic a lot, he can also let out extreme rage attacks which are usually caused by bugs in his system. Besides that, it’s considered very strange if he laughs, cries, or shows any other extreme emotions. It’s not even known if he has the capacity to understand emotions at all or even fall in love. Nonetheless, he is caring and protective of the few friends he has who understand him... as long as they respect his boundaries and never raise a hand to him, which has been known to trigger back strange memories of a man with a mean fist...
History: AJ has no memories. Any and everything he can recall from his past involves pain. He remembers lab coats, scientists, tests and experiments. Lucky for us... we know more than he does.
AJ was born Joey The Hedgehog. He lived an average life until his parents' divorce when he was three. When his mother decided to remarry to her boyfriend, whom she had been seeing behind her husband's back when their marriage first hit the rocks, Joey's happy life ended. His stepfather couldn't stand the idea of helping to raise a child that wasn't his, and whenever Joey's mother went out to work and his stepdad came home early, he would tell him this while chasing him around the house, yelling and beating him with his belt. He'd hit him so it wouldn't leave marks, and tell him he would kill him if he ever told his mother about it.
After a year of terror, Joey's mom gave birth to a baby boy, who became the new lead on his parents' lives. Putting all attention and affection into this new favorite child, Joey grew cold and lonely. Despite this, the beatings would still go on, un-noticed and sometimes done with the baby watching. It didn't take long after this for Joey to finally decide to run away from all his troubles, and when his stepdad came home one night, he ran out of the house as fast as he could. He ran for what seemed like hours until his legs gave out along a busy street, where he was quickly run down by a passing car; flatened beyond recognition.
The man who had done this was distraught, and wanted to keep this event as covered up as possible, as he was a very famous man, and didn't want to risk ruining his career. Paying off any witnesses and contacting the world's greatest doctors, they kept him alive and combined his body with that of a prototype cyborg, or living robot, and then proceeded to erase all memory of the accident and send him home as he was.
But in the process, they deleted his entire mind, wiping clean the brain.
To avoid their mistake coming back to haunt them later in life, they destroyed all records of the research and shut down his mechanical systems, putting his body in a type of hibernation. With most of his internal parts ruined in the accident, he ran on nothing more than an internal supply of nutrition, enough to stretch many years, low gasoline, and the temperature and heat produced by the blood pumping through his half-mechanical heart. He lay there, shutdown, in the bottom of an abandoned research lab for 14 years...
By an unknown fate, AJ, as his operating system was named, was found by a boy at the age of 15 on the side of the road, wrapped in rags and sitting there as if he were waiting for the right person to come along. The boy's name was Drummer, a renegade teenage who ditched his strict parents for a life of relaxed freedom to start a band. Realizing he was a person and not a pile of trash, he picked up the "Corpse" and dragged it to a hospital, where he was laughed at for bringing in a life-like male doll, which didn't go to well for his reputation of a lady's man... Dragging it home to his garage, he decided to leave it there as a gag gift for his girlfriends, when a timer went off inside his mind and he woke up, a switch on his head flickering to an on position and bringing back that which should have died long ago.
Introducing himself as AJ 757, Drummer decided that AJ must've been his name as a person and started to call him this. AJ invited himself to live with Drummer, who willingly accepted, interested in finding out more about AJ 757 and where he came from... even if AJ himself seems to be uninterested in the subject, as if he knew it were something he'd rather not remember. Satisfied with the life he has now, AJ currently resides with Drummer, working as a mechanic in his spare time, and cracking the occassional sarcastic jokes that no one understands.
Notes: Drummer's position was originally played by Sonic, but to keep as far away from actual Fan Characters and to make them more like my own creation, I have decided to make Drummer his companion. This also helps add to Drummer's story and further connects the characters in my story.
Abilities:
Rocket Boots: Enhanced running abilities because his shoes have built in rocket boosters to make running fast a breeze!
Pocket Claw: Sockets in his hands make his fingers have the same uses as the everyday pocket knife; and then some! This includes, but is not limited to, Laser Finger, Knives, Chisel, Master Key, Rulers, Bubble Wand, Lighter, etc.
Enhanced Features: All of AJ’s sense, with the exception of Touch, Taste, and Feelings, are greatly enhanced. His strength is more than that of an average hedgehog and his will to win is mighty.
Laser Cannon: Transforms his arm into a powerful cannon strong enough to destroy an entire city.
Voice Synthesizer: Can warp or morph his blank monotone voice to sound normal, heavily accented, in a foreign language, extremely slow and/or fast, etc.
Combat Mode: Allows him to go full on into a fury of mastery fighting techniques. If he uses this mode for too long, they get the betetr of him and he will rampage until his energy runs out.
Weaknesses:
1. Terrified of bugs and insects since he treats them as a computer virus. The name of anything “bug” creeps him out.
2. Can have his system hacked and can’t go near magnets without wigging out. Most of his systems are resistant with exception to his voice synthesizer, which will switch to alternate language mode if put near a magnet.
3. Can never lie; its not in his programming. Luckily, no one knows of this strange bug so they can't use it against him.
4. Is easily fooled since his comprehension of emotions is short and out of date.
Outside Information
1. Sonic-style based character. Not realated to the Sonic series in any way, shape, or form.
2. Story collides with Kittany Lilac Kitten and Déjà Vu.
